Modern Moral Theory Depends on the Individual
The individual can have some important role to play in ethics, and certainly has become husha foundation or building block for modern moral theory. But the very substance of our ethics is still guided by the kind of nerves, the negotiation ofex ations that we have through the webs of connections that form tribes. And i should say, we live in highly abstract societies, that these laws need to play some kind of role but to understand that them and the tion they have of the human is an abstraction from that social animal that we are.
