Kata was announced in may 20 19, as a collaboration between microsoft and red head. The cloud provider is able to scrape prometheus metrics and make them available next to our other aser services. There is no requirement for prometheus, because we do not want to enforce people to do that. But those who have it can use it, but it's not the requirement.
