The Importance of Language in Relationships
In school settings, I would be an advocate for more of peer cooperative kind of learning experiences. The more you share experience with people and the more you do things together with people toward a common goal, the feeling of teamwork that we did this together is a very strong bonding experience. But it really depends on our shared experiences, our different perspectives, and our sense of we as we cooperate together or not as the case may be. And so again, there's a fair amount of this in schools already; but if we could get that going across the cultural lines that are in our schools,. We might start building a foundation for a little more understanding across these categories that otherwise might divide us.
