The C++ has no great claim to read ability although you and I have had this discussion in the past though. One of the reasons that I find it hard to read your APL is because there's all these order of operation things that you prefer to leave implicit in your APL code. It would be a lot clearer if you just put the friends that you feel that the friends make it less elegant but we can ask for all that we can get back some time.
