Mary Kondo's three precepts for how to to deal with your anxiety of a stuff is to one clean it up all at once don't try and do it piecemeal otherwise you're perpetually cleaning. The idea is that in a sort of CBT fashion those questions are internalized and the hoarder can do that work on their own. But yeah I really don't think any of those questions would be useful to my dad who doesn't know whether that pile what might be useful for a program ten or not.
