The Battle of Samos

Darius offered gold and silver in return for his kindness, but Silasyn refused. He instead requested military support in overthrowing Samos' current ruler named Myandrios. Darius agreed, having been tempted by the prospect of there being a Samian tyrant that he could control. Later though, the city was repopulated thanks to Atonys, because apparently he had a disease which attacked his genitals. And in 513 BC, this trend became a reality with the news that Darius had decided to extend his rule over the Thracian Chersonies.
