The 7% Rule in Education
I think that it's insane that we have a public conversation guided by people who have had their formative years effectively cloistered off from most of the country. That is changing in places, but not fast enough and not drastically enough. I would be really quite happy to see the 7% rule implemented. The way in which we associate articulacy, erudition, and reason with people who come from much more wealthy backgrounds. And then the second thing is also it would force us to look at, okay, so what have we consigned the 93% to education wise?
