i am fascinated by the really pretty rough treatment that you mete out in your book to religion. I mean, i don't take this personally in any way, but term humanism is something that can be ous as well as secular. Arguments based on the non exist e of supernatural entities, of souls and spirits and gods, are often seen as aggressive, as hostile,. whereas i jst state them as propositions that you can argue about just like any other claim about the nature of the world. And from a scientific mind set, of a rational mind set,  the existence of supernatural entities runs counter to our best understanding of theworld.
