After reading Silman, I understood more of the opening principles and back rank the seventh rankThings like that were completely foreign to me up until that point basically What I'd been doing Earlier was basically just playing for simple tactics. So a discovery was basically what I was going for in every game Put night in front of the queen and then try to check somehow and win a piece or many pieces And that was my entire strategy Probably if you were playing against other people at your skill level that was working pretty well, right?
