Bible did not originally say that an angel was coming down and making the water into a fountain of youth or something like that. This is important to remember that this is John writing at a later time when Christians and Jews are having disagreements with each other. In Jesus's lifetime, things are a little more complicated. The Jews are Pharisees and Sadducees and chief priests and scribes. And Jesus and his disciples are lots of Jews that are following Jesus.
