There's this old comic called Little Nemo from the early 20th century, which is known for like doing all this really big like innovative art within the confines of like a weekly comic strip format. That was not written particularly well and I stuck with me the speech bubbles. So you see, you get this bright art style, little Jed looks like Little Nemo.
