All change has ultimately happens through small groups of people pushing on social norms. The idea that we can suddenly go and just change the system, which is this question, this conversation that comes up over and over again, it's not necessarily true. We really need individual people doing these behaviors, making a new norm, so that the larger majority will accept it. Because people seem to live with this, the terrified anxiety of being rejected by the group.
