Introduction
The Patch Trauma trial results were presented on June 14th at The Critical Care Reviews meeting in Titanic Belfast. Tranexamic acid is an antifibrinalitic agent because of its effect on inhibiting the binding of the inert plasma antigen to tissue damage. It has multiple effects, not least of which is clock breakdown, but also affects inflammation and the neural systems.
