The Conflict Between Matthew's Narrative and John's Story of Mary Magdalene

Dr. Lacona thinks that there is a irreconcilable conflict between Matthew's narrative and John's narrative concerning where Jesus first met Mary Magdalene after he rose from the dead. Dr. Lacona: "At minimum it appears that either Matthew or John has relocated the appearance to Mary Magdalenes" He also suggests that Matthew may have added a blind man to a healing of Jesus and a demoniac to another healing who were not present on that occasion, doubling up on them. This shows the extent to which at least one of the evangelists or the sources from which he drew felt free to craft the story, says Lacona.
