Colorado River Storage Project - What's Going On?

The Colorado River Storage Project is a federally funded initiative that passed in 1956. Each dam has a reservoir that many people refer to as federal buckets of water. Over the past few years, Lake Mead and Powell continue to reach record low levels. A recent projection said that Powell could lose ability to generate hydropower later this year if the allocation of the river doesn't change.
