Adoniman: In the modern world, it is to force reality to conform to your will. CS Lewis said that in the classical world or, you know, historically, the goal was to align your soul with reality. Adoniman says one of the things he wants to talk about here is this difference between begotten and being made. He goes to the Nicene Creed where he begins with the notion that the son of God, he's talking about God here, Jesus is begotten of the father not made.
