The New York Times invited Fidel Castro to like speak on a panel or at one of their events. The State Department would have made it an official state visit by the new leader of Cuba. It took two days for Richard Chen on Twitter, followed by coin desk and one or two other sub stacks including CZ to bring him down. For two years, then the media built this guy up; in two days, decentralized media took him down.
