I think I'm one of many for whom there's been a loss of faith in the institutional church. What would Christianity look like if we really did adopt this kind of incarnational worldview? Would it become more a service station or what Pope Francis calls a field hospital on the edge of the battlefield? Maybe that need could be a little less if we knew there were caring people at the service station and we weren't all alone.
