The Transcendence of Love

Nozick has a sort of merging view of love as well, but rather than having this mythology of us all being cut in half by Zeus. He likens it to a love heart, like literally the shape of two circles coming together. And he compares that to friendship, which is like a Venn diagram between those interests and shared parts. Robert Sternberg says people fall in love not because they literally want to share an identity or they share some kind of mythical soul, but because they want to share the same narrative.
