Is Reprocessing Nuclear Fuel a Good Option?

International consensus is that we should dispose of radioactive waste in a deep geological disposal facility. It's going to be dioactive for a hundred thousand years, so we need a way of isolating it from future populations and the environment. We're talking between 200 meters and a thousand meters below the earth. And when it's there, what we want to do is to try and protect it from any ground water that will come into contact with the waste.
