The Paradox of Creativity

The creative transcendent is the feelings and experience that we all have when we're involved in a creative activity. And it's particularly powerful when you are creating something new that hasn't existed before. It involves the self at a deep level, but it also involves the loss of self. This goes back to this idea of emergence that you talked about earlier in this interview. Something really beautiful and powerful about how something mechanistic and straightforward can give rise to something.
