The Harlem Children's Zone Charter School of Efficient Education
Roland Martin is the founder of Harlem Children's Zone Charter School. His research shows that adopting a relatively sensible longer school day, longer school year intensive tutoring and high expectations can be shown to practically close the racial achievement gap in a couple of years. The main obstacle is not just the recastorance of the Ivy's to Roland's somewhat tongue in cheek but I think, you know, it's a serious idea.
