The Importance of East-West Interaction in the Congo
I think that you have to view that whole period of African history really through the optic of the Cold War and it was the question of communist international eastern influence. Now what you see is an emergent Africa which has its own identity which is beginning to shift and express its dominance because of its richness in resources but it's still very susceptible. The Congo is an example of this let's say to the Chinese coming in and exploiting the natural resources as they're so important to the battery technology industry.
