He's a batbench MP. He has now no power over the direction of policy. But I think broadly, the policy will be the same. There was a sort of panic when Sunak apparently ordered an audit - which is a very soon-acesque thing to do on expenditure on the war and outcomes and so on. Even if he has some doubts and he showed no indication that he has, he would be in no position to diminish the UK contribution. Whether he raises it in a significant way as Arthur was suggesting might be necessary along with greater EU intervention remains to be seen.
