The Tree of Knowledge Is a Precursor to Torah
The very first mitzvah that God actually gives us is about these trees. Mosheh isn't saying, behold, I've given you this Torah. What he says is, behold,I've given youThis Tree of Life. Before we ever had a Torah, we had these trees. It's possible that the tree is the embodiment of the firstMitzvah. But one way or another, the trees seem to be this precursor to the Torah.
