The Moral of Pharaoh's Obedience

LZ Granderson: Would it say something better about God if he allowed Pharaoh's oppression without intervening and becoming active? LZ: Even in the most horrendous human evil, God is actively working toward his redemptive purpose. LZ: The questions addressed by the ten plagues might better be asked by a Russian or Ukrainian right now than they would by an American. He says we're in danger of misinterpreting, misapplying and manipulating the biblical story itself.
