Romanization in Britain After the Revolt
Roman historian tacitus says about 70,000 romans and their allies were killed by the isene. Prominent local leaders were made auxiliary officers and encouraged to adopt roman culture. Latin was also made the official language of britain but that didn't mean everyone started speaking latin. Most native britons continued to speak celtic languages in rural areas.
