Gravitational Waves Line Up - The Kick.

Ligo and vergo are inter perometers, massive l shaped structures several kilometers across. As a gravitational wave passes through an inter perometer like these, it squeezes one leg of the l and stretches the other. The observatories are designed to detect these changes. Back in 20 te, ligo and verGo observed the space time ripples that are evidence of these two black holes orbiting each other and getting closer. Researchers saw exactly what was predicted. The gravitational waves lined up, and the lesser black hole was shot out into the galaxy at around three million miles per hour.
