The Undisputed Superpower in the 1970s
In the mid 1970s, the United States was racked with social unrest. There was even domestic terrorism in the United States and similarly to today, many of America's inner cities really looked at messa. In 1980 Ronald Reagan won like 45 of the 50 states. You know, you had much greater political unity, the domestic issues died down. Later there was in later in the 80s, there was something of a renewal of the inner city areas. The financial America got inflation under control stagflation which I didn't mention was another issue in the US in the 1970s. And then maybe Elbridge Cole can have his view on that.
