The Fallibility of Reasoning
Human reasoning is slow and requires a lot of attention compared to intuition. We seem to use just to confirm what our intuitions were, he says. What we've tried to argue is that the function of reasoning is not to enhance individual cognitive capacities but to play a role in social interaction.
