The Gap Between Research and Teaching in Sports Coaching

Most of the most efficient practices we know about how learning works, originates in sports coaching. Research around learning in sports coaching right now is probably like 10 to 20 years ahead of just mainstream education research. So a lot of this research comes from sports coaching and then it filters its way down in education. This is stuff that not only is decades out of date, some of the stuff is already now being disproven by the time you started learning it.
