Sissy Houston is supposed to be heading out the door for a gig at Michael's Jazz Club in Manhattan. Instead, she calls Whitney into her bedroom and says: I'm too sick to sing. It will have to fill in for me. Two hours later, Whitney's standing backstage at Michael's. Her stomach is doing some results. Seeing a teenager imitate the mannerisms of a grown woman is both charming and hilarious. She needs a safe haven that has nothing to do with her fucked up family.
