Is There a Way to Integrate Deep Learning With Computer Vision?

i'm a big fan of integration and collaborative work, right? So i think it's good for us as experts in in complementary fields to acquire the skill that we can understand each other's language. But beyond that, i think we need to be encouraging more a collaboration and integration of different disciplines than everyone trying to learn every other discipline so they can do the whole thing by themselves. In academi i think there are still some barriers around that. I don't think there's going to be one right or wrong answer, but i'm wondering what your thoughts might be that if you were to design something.
