Is Your Therapist Texting You at Three in the Morning?
Gusts: I think the textting at three in the morning is very hard to justify unless you're in crisis. Disclosing things that may go beyond like a traditional self disclosure can serve a useful purpose. But there's something worrisome about a therapist assuming that it's helpful and not checking in with you even, like, a few minutes after that kind of disclosure. It makes you carry the burden of what to do with this if it isn't helping.
