The DOGON believed that a race of amphibious creatures they called Nomo arrived at Earth from the Sirius system sometime in the distant past. They described noise and vibrations, rising dust and a skidding along the ground that would be consistent with a spacecraft of some kind. So are the DOGON people proof that humankind had encountered ancient astronauts in the past? Or is it simple coincidence or some kind of elaborate hoax?
