Jake: When spec came out, I think it was a really big deal. Having that officially supported first class contract language to be able to say, all right, this thing is a map that has these keys and these are optional and these are not and these keys need to max these specs and so on,. And I definitely jumped on that trade. Jake: One of the things that I really liked, once you define these, I think of them as contracts, butOnce you define these specs for the data shapes that you have, I wanted to being able to assert those always, always in forever.
