It's possible you have met someone who lived in that in a time before they knew such things. And we didn't know galaxies existed like until deep into the 20th century. Like to imagine that people talked about life and, you know, what it means to be a person without being able to use the word galaxy or even the conceive of it. Even when you're translating, it's sort of like you're approximating in the first place.
