How to Deal With Uncertainty

How should we decide how to act when the world is uncertain? Are there rules of thumb we should be following? Yeah. In a situation of risk, all you need is calculation. Under uncertainty, by definition, you cannot do this because you don't know all the things that can happen or their consequences. What is needed here are rules of thumb that are called heuristics in the sciences and also the intuitive use ofrules of thumb that's called intuition. And there are a few other tools for dealing with uncertainty. That is people's ability to find out whom to trust, whom they're not trust, or to create narratives that help you understand what's going on.
