The Effects of Glucose on Muscle Strength

The ATP that's generated by glycolysis is at the immediate site of muscle contraction and so there's a proximity effect where the ATP generated there does not have to travel any meaningful distance. Most ATP is going to be recycled not by going back to the mitochondria and coming back to the muscle contractile protein but by directly taking nearby creatine phosphate if needed. If you just burn completely oxidized the glucose you eliminate the low pH risk and you eliminate the time needed to cycle things in the corey cycle.
