The story of verber rosenberg and his escape from the holocos is one that has never been told before. Author Jonathan Safran Foer spent years trying to find out more about him, but could only get back in touch with a 93-year-old woman he met when she was still alive. He says there's an urgency now for people to tell their stories because so few were around at the time. The book will be published by Hodder & Stoughton next month.
During the Second World War, Rudolph Vrba was one of the very few people to escape the horrors of the Auschwitz concentration camp. He did so along with fellow escapee, Alfred Wetzler, in April 1944. Vrba is the subject of columnist and author Jonathan Freedland's new book, The Escape Artist. He joins journalist and broadcaster Manveen Rana to discuss Vrba's incredible story.
