I think ultimately for me, why I left Chef in the end was that we were just rinsing and repeating that process over and over again. The outcomes weren't going to live up to our aspirations. What we wanted was these like smooth real time, like relationship driven, high collaboration work environments. They're more about application functionality sort of being delivered at the end of an API endpoint rather than individual servers.
