The First of Three Tents in Matthew's Grace

Jesus was fasting for 40 days and for 40 nights. And afterwards he was hungry. So we see Jesus in his weakness again in humility, embracing the weakness of humanity. This is going to be the first of three temptations. Here you have three traps. An appeal to sensible realities, sensual, sensual temptation, the sensitive appetite. Then we have an appeal to things you can have, possessions, goods. And then third, you have the desire to make one wise, to have knowledge and knowledge is power, really pride.
