How Do You Improve Your Teaching Skills?

Teaching is one of those things that you just have to do, if you jump in and start teaching. Not every time you try to explain something it's going to stick. Different approaches resonate with different people. Getting better a teaching is mostly about trying and seeing what sticks. The core of my teaching philosophy is to always try to explain my reasoning behind why i'm giving a suggestion.
