Patton gets across the Rhine as well before Monty, doesn't he? I think the Americans get across in two places, literally the dears. All just trying to stick two fingers up to Monty. Every one of these guys is fascinating. The Montgomery personality is, you know, I don't think he was particularly well liked by the Americans. And they used to make fun of him. He caused a lot of problems for people with his wasp, he's waspish. American, quite understandably, just seems to insult people. It wasn't very diplomatic.
