Fundamentalism Is an Ideology, Not a Theology

When you start to research fundamentalism, you do start to see it everywhere. It only arose starting in about 1870 and was originally just kind of assault or response to progressivism in religion. That's actually kind of a new thing. One of the things about fundamentalism is when you kind of listen to what they're saying, they imagine that they're taking society back to this golden age ... But fundamentalism is actually a pretty modern thing.
