In the 70s, it was a badge of honor to drop out of school. Alexander Wang became the youngest self-made billionaire by dropping out during his senior year at MIT. The vast majority of people do get an education, but they got an education because it was what you had to do. But it didn't figure prominently in the crucial center of why they're successful entrepreneurs.
