Is the Siber Domain Important?

When i left university, g c h c was really all about hiring mathematicians. And cryptographyand cryptonalysis is still at the heart of what it does. When bombs are falling and cris missiles are arriving, siber seems rather less important. But there has been a lot of siber activity from russia in particular,. going back to estonia and back in two thousand seven eight and georgia. The russians have been investing in offensive sibo for at least 15 years, very heavily, and using it for political effect. So i think they would see siber as an important part of hybrid warfare - short of armed conflict.
