Political scientists try to estimate the probability of an election being swung by a single vote. It's often like one in a millioni the biggest countries, it's more like one in ten million if you live in er, you know, a swing seat or a swing state and so on. And i think my many people will accept that it could be reasonable to go and vote in an election in the hope that you will swing it - even though the probity of swinging the election is really low.
