The Small Business Deduction in Real Estate

The small business deduction is available to Canadian controlled private corporations. It reduces the corporate income tax that a corporation would otherwise have to pay an attached year on active business income carried on in Canada. If your taxable capital is above 15 million, you're no longer considered a small business and you cannot claim the small business deduction.
