The grateful dead had two inhouse lyricists that didn't play any instruments, but just wrote all the lyrics for them. They were fascinated with eastern mysticism and worked a lot of veiled references into their lyric. The song that opens the grateful dead movie, which was released in 19 77, is one that wi'll probably come back too.
